Guide

What to send for a fast, accurate crane quote.

Most delays in quoting a lift come from missing details. With the list below, we can usually match the right machine and price the job from your photos.

About the load

  • What it is (a make and model or spec sheet helps)
  • Approximate weight — even a range
  • Size: length, width and height
  • Lifting points, or the manufacturer's lifting instructions if it has them

About the site

  • Site address
  • Where the truck can park, and the distance from there to the set point
  • Anything overhead: power lines, trees, roof edges
  • Ground at the setup spot: pavement, gravel, lawn, slope or soft ground
  • Narrow streets, laneways, gates or low clearances on the way in

Photos that help most

  • From the street, showing where the truck would park
  • The path the load has to travel
  • The set point itself
  • The load, with something for scale

About timing

  • Your preferred dates and any flexibility
  • Who will be on site
  • Whether a street, sidewalk or parking lane will need to be used — some cities need a permit for that
