Terms of Use & Service

The terms for using bccraneservice.com and for services from BC Crane Service. Plain-language and governed by the laws of British Columbia.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you use bccraneservice.com and when you request or receive services from BC Crane Service, operated by K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc., part of K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc. and its businesses (K2 Crane & Cartage, Koolcans and BC Crane Service), British Columbia. By submitting a request or booking a service you agree to them. Your written quote, order or rental agreement may add specific terms; if they conflict, the written quote or agreement applies.

Using this website

You may use bccraneservice.com to learn about our services and to send us enquiries. Please give accurate information and do not misuse the site — for example by submitting false requests, uploading files that contain malicious code or that you have no right to share, attempting to access areas you are not authorised to use, or interfering with the site's operation. We may refuse or remove submissions that break these terms.

Content on this site (text, photos, logos and design) belongs to the K2 group of companies or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Prices, availability, photos and descriptions are provided in good faith but may change and are not an offer until confirmed in writing.

Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Quotes, booking and payment

Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing (email or text). If the actual load, site conditions or time required differ from what was described, the price may change — we will tell you before doing extra work where reasonably possible.

Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST and PST unless stated. Payment is due on completion or as stated on your quote or invoice. Overdue accounts may be charged interest at the rate shown on the invoice, and reasonable collection costs.

How BC Crane Service works

BC Crane Service arranges crane lifts across British Columbia. Your lift may be carried out by our own crew or by an independent contractor from our network who has the right equipment near your site. Either way, we coordinate the job, confirm the details and price with you, and remain your point of contact.

Before dispatching a network contractor we verify their commercial liability insurance certificate, WorkSafeBC clearance and crane operator certification, and track expiry dates. Verification is based on documents supplied by the contractor and is not a guarantee of their future performance.

Your responsibilities on site

So that work can be done safely and on time, you agree to:

  • give accurate load weights, dimensions and descriptions, and disclose anything hazardous;
  • provide safe, clear access and firm, level ground for the crane or truck and outriggers, and tell us about soft ground, slopes, septic fields, underground tanks or services;
  • locate underground utilities (BC 1 Call) where excavation, outriggers or anchoring could affect them, and tell us about overhead power lines near the work area — WorkSafeBC limits of approach apply and may require the utility to de-energise or guard lines;
  • obtain any permits, road-use approvals, traffic control or strata/landlord permission the job needs, unless we have agreed in writing to arrange them;
  • ensure the load is ready to lift or load at the booked time and that rigging points on your equipment are sound.

Safety decisions, weather and delays

The operator is responsible for safe operation under the WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and may delay, modify or refuse any lift or load they consider unsafe — including because of wind, weather, ground conditions, power lines or inaccurate load information. Time on site or a return trip caused by conditions within your control may be charged.

We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures, equipment breakdown, or other events beyond our reasonable control; we will rebook as soon as practical.

Cancellations

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations, or a dispatched crew that cannot work because the site or load is not ready, may be charged a call-out fee as shown on your quote.

Damage and claims

We carry commercial liability insurance and take care with every load. Please inspect the work and items when complete and report any damage to BC Crane Service within 48 hours, with photos. We are not responsible for damage caused by inaccurate information, hidden hazards, inadequate packaging or rigging points supplied by you, or ground or surfaces that were not suitable for the equipment as disclosed.

Terms for network contractors

If you apply to join the network:

  • you confirm that the information and documents you provide are true and current, and you consent to us verifying them with insurers, WorkSafeBC and certifying bodies;
  • you must keep your liability insurance, WorkSafeBC coverage, vehicle insurance and operator certifications in force and upload renewals before they expire — we may pause dispatches while any required document is missing or expired;
  • you are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of BC Crane Service; you are responsible for your own workers, equipment, taxes, permits and compliance with the WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation;
  • accepting a job means you will perform it safely, on time and to the agreed scope; if you cannot, tell us immediately so we can reassign it;
  • customer information shared with you may be used only to perform that job and must not be used to solicit the customer independently;
  • approval is at our discretion and either party may end the relationship at any time; jobs already accepted must be completed or handed back in an orderly way;
  • payment terms for each job are set out in the dispatch confirmation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (such as lost profits or business interruption), and our total liability arising from a job or order is limited to the amount you paid for that job or order. These limits do not apply to losses caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Otherwise, disputes will be heard by the courts of British Columbia (including the Civil Resolution Tribunal for claims within its jurisdiction).

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you book or order applies to that job. Questions: K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc. · harpreet.bagri@setosys.com · 778.995.8666.
